"When your gamer son asks for a mini fridge"

Mum of two, Lesley from Scotland, shared a video to TikTok of her son playing in his cool gaming cave.

"When your gamer son asks for a mini fridge for Christmas and you haven't seen him since," she says in the caption.

The clip shows her son on the bottom bunk, lying down with a camouflage blanket over him as he plays Far Cry on his PlayStation.

As Lindsey pans across, you see the small white fridge and then a rubbish bin full of wrappers and a can of drink.

Nice set up, dude.

The clip has attracted more than a million views... and a lot of opinions.

"I find this really sad"

Despite this clip only showing 15 seconds of the kid's life, people jumped to conclusions about the remaining 23 hours, 59 minutes and 45 seconds of his day.

"I find this really sad," commented one viewer.

Another added, "parent fail," while one went as far as calling the boy a "brat" saying "he ain't going outside or doing anything but get lazy while his parents sit and record for TikTok."

Most people could see how amazing this sort of setup would be for a child with some saying they wish they had that at his age.

"Tbf [to be fair], if I had that set up at that age, you wouldn't be seeing me either," wrote one person, "When Halo 3 came out, I played until the birds came up!"

Another added, "Nothing about this is sad, he's having fun like we all did."

"Impressed he's using the bin," chimed in another, "He'll come out soon; those fridges don't hold that much. In the meantime, enjoy the peace!"

In response to the person who called her son a "brat" Lesley shared a clip of him riding up and down the driveway on a go-kart showing nobody can make any judgements based on a 15-second TikTok.
