Mad-Eye Moody - The Magic Eye
Materials:
Leather belt or elastic
Gold foam sheet / cardboard
Foam ball
Sharp knife
Googly eye
Hot glue gun
Method:
- Take your gold foam sheet and draw a circle on the back. The circle should be the size of an eye patch. Cut out your circle carefully.
- Using your sharp knife (with a grown up!), cut the foam ball in half.
- Hot glue (with supervision!) the half foam ball onto the gold foam circle.
- Use another drop of hot glue to stick on a googly eye. Moody’s magic eye is blue!
- Now take your leather belt and measure it around your head and secure the end in place. It should sit comfortably over your eye.
- Using your hot glue (stick around parents!), attach your magic eye to the leather belt. Now time to test if it can see through any walls!

Mad-Eye Moody’s Walking Stick
Materials:
Large stick
Craft paper
Masking Tape
Black spray paint
Brown / black acrylic paint
Large paint brush
Method:
- Cut a long (120cm) piece of craft paper.
- Scrunch the craft paper together to make a long snake.
- Wrap the craft paper snake around the stick securing at the top and bottom with masking tape. Leave around 20cm at the top to fold it over to create the skull of the snake.
- Tape the folded snake skull over and secure with masking tape.
- Using spray paint (with a grown up!) or acrylic paint, decorate your walking stick.
Mad Eye Moody likes to wear a big oversize coat and leather vest with buckles. Take a look around the house to see what you can find! To help recreate the vest with buckles, I found some belts and luggage straps that had gold clips. Wear this with your Magic Eye and Walking Stick and you will look just as mad as Moody!
