Sydneysiders will soon be able to join Melburnians and Brisbanites in devouring the famous Lune croissants, with the cult croissanterie revealing the location for its flagship Sydney store.
The popular croissanterie, which is known for its cult following, currently has three stores in Melbourne and two in Brisbane.
In a Monday afternoon treat for croissant lovers in Sydney, Lune confirmed on its Instagram account that it was planning on opening a store in Sydney by spring.
“Dear Sydney,” the post read.
“Long have I cast my eyes northwards to your beautiful, shimmering harbour. Tell me I’m not imagining it when I look at your famous bridge and your world class opera house and all I see is croissants?
“I’ve longed to bask in your sunny, warm climate, and experience what an *actual* beach is …”
While the Sydney store’s location was originally planned to be in Darlinghurst, Lune has now revealed its flagship Sydney venue will be located at the Rosebery Engine Yards, in Sydney’s inner south.
“I discovered a spot in your lovely Rosebery, and it felt familiar and right. It was old and industrial, like my Fitzroy digs, and had plenty of space for all the things that make Lune so special,” the statement read.
“Right now, the painters and decorators are hard at work turning a big old factory space into a croissant wonderland,
“Sydney, when spring comes, you shall have our croissants. Finally.”
A second Sydney venue is due to open at Metro Martin Place, according to Lune’s website.
