Bachelorette 2021: All the outfits in Brooke Blurton’s premiere episode

As 16 hopefuls fight it out for Brooke Blurton’s heart, many have taken the same risque approach to secure the leading lady’s attention.

Brooke Blurton has made history tonight with the premiere of the first ever Bachelorette season featuring both male and female suitors.

As well as the 26-year-old being the first LGBTQI+ lead in the Australian series’ history, she’s also the first First Nations Bachelorette, making her debut doubly special.

But while there’s already heaps to dissect about the moment the 16 men and women vying for Brooke’s heart first met their leading woman, it was Brooke’s showstopping dress that caught our eyes.

Brooke Blurton’s ‘dramatic’ $7000 gown

The Noongar-Yamatji woman, who grew up in Perth, met the hopeful singletons dressed in a billowing black ball gown made by designer Yousef Akbar.

Priced at $7050, the dress has previously been worn by Nicole Kidman for Marie Claire Australia’s 25th birthday edition.

The “Black Puffy Volume Gown” features a sparkling diamanté bodice with built in gloves and a “dramatic taffeta ruffle” and is only made to order.

And it seems that’s not the only big and beautiful dress Brooke is set to wear during the season, with her stylist revealing on Instagram: “Can’t wait for you all to see @brooke.blurton’s outfits throughout the entire season.”

She wasn’t the only person who rocked a showstopping outfit. Here are all the standout outfits from the premiere.

Bec, 30, VIC

Charity officer Bec may look like she’s wearing a stunning gown with a racy thigh split, but she’s actually wearing a sequined bodysuit and a silk skirt by Australian label Elle Zeitoun.

The split shows off Bec’s thigh tattoo, while the bodysuit has a plunging neckline. She’s finished her look with a black pair of strappy heels from Novo.

Emily, 25, NSW

Vet receptionist Emily has said she’s someone who has lots of love and energy to give – and her custom Constantina Danis gown certainly echoes that statement.

The 25-year-old “social butterfly” wore a pale blue, tierred dress that is long at the back but short at the front to flaunt her legs. She teamed the statement gown with a pair of jazzy silver Steve Madden boots.

Holly, 27, NSW

Holly, a former dance teacher and NRL cheerleader, chose a red Abbys by Abby gown that also showed off her legs. The red sequined ensemble slashed at her upper thigh while the dress gracefully drapes to the floor.

She finished her look with a pair of nude heels from Novo.

Carissa, 30, QLD

Carissa – a registered psychologist – has also gone for a dress that shows off her legs, we’re sensing a theme this year. Her pale blue off the shoulder number is made by Brand Marquise and she’s paired it with see-through heels from Billini.

Ritu, 25, VIC

Ritu stood out from the other women with her full length, gold gown.

The filmmaker’s outfit is from Duchess Boutique and features feather detailing on the shoulders and skirt.

While the designer is known for making wedding dresses, it’s not clear if this is a bridal or evening gown.

Taje, a youth worker, also opted for a full-length dress, choosing a demure emerald green number from Micaah.

Jamie-Lee – who appeared alongside Brooke on the Honey Badger’s 2018 season of the Bachelor – kept things simple second time around in a figure-hugging white dress from Alamour the Label.

Software sales executive Jess also went for a simple design, choosing a classic black dress from Nookie. She also went for clear perspex heels, these ones being from Bikkini.

Darvid, 27, QLD and Johann, 27, NSW

Some of the boys went all out with their first impression outfits too, ditching the usual black tuxedos for something a little bolder.

Darvid went for a dazzling blazer from Couture Menswear while Johann made a lasting impression in an all pink suit from MJ Bale.

Most of the boys played it pretty safe, with Konrad in an all black suit and Kurt giving us the opposite in all white up top but black on bottom.

There was also a grey suit, a blue suit and a couple of other quirky blazers among the fellas. But let be honest, all eyes were on Brooke after her big entrance.
