The people have spoken – the Best of the Best eats and treats in Tasmania have been revealed!

We rounded up 20 of the country’s favourite foods, highlighting five exceptional offerings in every category. And then we asked you to pick the overall winner.

The tally has been counted, with almost 50,000 votes coming in from across the country.

We asked you all a penne for your thoughts and discovered you think Massimo Mele at Peppina dishes up the most bellissimo pasta. We’ve also found out which Tassie bakers are on a roll and Pigeon Whole has emerged a clear favourite.

And for the most supreme pizza? Who else but Hobart institution, Da Angelo Ristorante.
