Freshly baked bread and cabinets of sweet treats might catch the eye of hungry tourists but Tasmanian’s say delicious pies are the real hero of Jackman and McRoss.

The Battery Point bakery is home to one of the state’s best scallop pies according Mercury readers and the hand curated recipe has an unexpected twist.

Jackman and McRoss Owner and Operator Justin McRoss said pie filling is wrapped in a delicious golden pastry and a Japanese inspired wakame filling with peas and corn sets the pie a part from the traditional curried scallop pie.

The top-tier pies have been publicly voted among the state’s finest in the Delicious. 100 Best of the Best and is in the running to be crowned the creme de la creme of Tasmanian pies.
