Singer John Legend was named 2019’s Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine — an honour for both him and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, who said she’s now fulfilled her goal of having bedded the man bestowed with the honour.
The New York Post reports that Teigen, 33, gloated about her husband’s accomplishment on Twitter, after People published a story naming Legend the sexiest man alive.
“My secret is out. I have fulfilled my dream of having boned @people’s sexiest man alive! an honour!!!!!” Teigen wrote on Twitter.
Legend, 40, told the magazine he’s thrilled by the honour, but also scared to follow in the footsteps of other entertainers who have been named before him.
“I was excited, but I was a little scared at the same time because it’s a lot of pressure,” he told the magazine.
“Everyone’s going to be picking me apart to see if I’m sexy enough to hold this title. I’m [also] following Idris Elba, which is not fair and is not nice to me!” Legend added.
Legend is the third coach from The Voice in the US to be named People’s Sexiest Man Alive, following Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.
Teigen also joked on Twitter that she “cannot WAIT for people to get mad about John being the sexiest man alive.”
