As the mercury dips, home chefs can relish the return of comforting dinner classics like lamb shanks without breaking the bank, thanks to Coles’ sweeping price reductions on over 300 products, including an array of meats.
In an expansive move, the supermarket now boasts approximately 500 items under its ‘Down Down’ promotional pricing scheme. Among the latest offerings, discounted until June 25, are Coles Australian Lamb Shanks two-pack, now available at $8.50/kg, down from $9.50/kg, and Coles Australian No Added Hormones Beef Oyster Blade Steak 500g, marked down to $11 from $13.
A recent survey of over 7,000 Coles patrons revealed that a staggering 85 per cent regularly engage in bulk purchasing and freezing meat to capitalise on sale opportunities.
“Autumn comes with the comforts of home cooking and to help households save money and cook hearty meals we’ve lowered the price of a range of popular meat cuts for next three months including our much-loved lamb shanks, perfect for the colder weather,” said Coles Chief Commercial Officer, Anna Croft.
Additionally, a plethora of meat selections has seen their prices slashed, including Coles Australian lamb boneless shoulder roast, pork cutlets, and the 500g beef stir fry pack.
Beyond meats, Coles has extended discounts to a diverse selection of household essentials, including coffee, laundry liquid, and canned vegetables.
Desserts are also part of the bargain, with Frozen Apple or BlackBerry Apple Snack Pies 450g or 600g Frozen Family Apple Pie all reduced to $4 from $5, while Coles Bakery Chocolate and Caramel Mud Cake varieties have been discounted to $5.75 from $6.40.
