On Monday morning (AEST) Bob Saget died at the age of 65.

The New York Post reported Saget was found dead in his Florida hotel room bed by a housekeeper after he missed his late checkout time.

The cleaner made the grim discovery when she entered his room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando at about 4pm on Sunday — an hour after the 65-year-old was due to check out, a source told People.

The Full House star’s bags were already packed by the door and the room was neat, the magazine said.

There were reportedly no signs of disturbance or trauma.

After calling 911, the housekeeping manager performed CPR on Saget until paramedics arrived.

Saget had been staying at the hotel for several days while he performed his stand-up “I Don’t Do Negative Comedy Tour” nearby.

Multiple sources have confirmed the death of Bob Saget, announcing he died at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida.

The Sheriff’s Department and the fire department responded to the hotel around 4pm, after learning hotel security had found Saget unresponsive in his room.

His cause of death is still undetermined, but police did give some details.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office took to Twitter to announce his death, writing: “Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room.

“The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case,” the tweet concluded.

The actor and comedian had been touring the country, stopping at multiple locations in Florida.

On Saturday, January 8, 2022, he performed a show in Jacksonville.

“Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience. Thanks again to @RealTimWilkins for opening,” Saget tweeted at around 3am on Sunday morning.

“I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this s***,” he continued.

Who was Bob Saget?

Born on May 17, 1956, Bob Saget was a stand-up comedian, actor, television host and director.

Saget graduated from Abington Senior High School in 1975, with the intention to pursue a career in medicine.

After his English teacher urged him to delve into his creativity, Saget went on to attend Temple University’s film school.

He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree of Arts in 1978.

After briefly appearing on CBS’ The Morning Program in 1987, Saget was cast as Danny Tanner in Full House, one of his most memorable roles.

By 1989, Saget had become the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos, where he remained until 1997.

He made his return to AFV in 2009 for the 20th Anniversary special, co-hosted by Tom Bergeron.

Throughout the 1990s, Saget directed multiple films, including For Hope and Dirty Work.

He went on to star in the sitcom Raising Dad, and appeared as the host of NBC game show, 1 vs. 100.

In the hit series How I Met Your Mother, Saget narrated the sitcom as the voice of future Ted Mosby.

On August 28, 2007, an HBO comedy special entitled That Ain’t Right came out on DVD, and was dedicated to his late father.

He went on to star as a recurring character in the HBO show Entourage, later appearing in the 2015 feature film based on the series.

Saget released a book, Dirty Daddy, in 2014.

The book covers his career, influences, and life.

From 2016 until 2020, Saget reprised his role as Danny Tanner in the Full House sequel series, Fuller House.

Saget made his return to hosting in 2019, with ABC’s Videos After Dark and CMT game show, Nashville Squares.

Was Bob Saget married?

Bob Saget was married twice.

He wed Sherri Kramer in 1982, and the two divorced in 1997. They share three children together: Aubrey, Lara Melanie, and Jennifer Belle Saget.

Saget went on to marry Kelly Rizzo in 2018.
