Truth behind Hollywood death finally exposed

The mysterious death of Hollywood star Natalie Wood has yet to be solved since her body was discovered in 1981.

Robert Wagner 'person of interest' in wife's death

Natalie Wood’s 1981 drowning remains one of Hollywood’s most bizarre unsolved mysteries.

The Splendor in the Grass star died after falling from a yacht off Catalina Island during thanksgiving weekend.

Her actor husband, Robert Wagner, has remained a person of interest in her death ever since police launched an investigation.

Despite decades of police work, the truth has never been discovered.

However, Coroner to the Stars Dr. Thomas Noguchi has claimed to have solved the mystery in his new biography, L.A. Coroner: Thomas Noguchi and Death in Hollywood.

Noguchi believes that the actor “might have lived” if she had taken off her waterlogged jacket after falling into the chilly waters.

“When he scrutinised the parka more carefully, he realised it weighed between thirty to forty pounds in its saturated state,” author Anne Soon Choi writes in the book.

“Her sodden parka had caused her to drown.”

Noguchi performed autopsies on both Marilyn Monroe and Robert F. Kennedy.

When he examined Wood’s body, he found bruises on her body and a cut on her cheek.

He claims that “the weight of her jacket had pulled her back down when she attempted to climb into the dinghy.”

The celebrity coroner goes on to allege that the blood alcohol level of .12 in Wood’s system then sealed her fate, and stopped her from being able to find the strength to get back onto the yacht.

Six drinks will produce a blood-alcohol level of .12, and as a result her motor skills would have been markedly impaired, as well as her Judgement, the coroner said.

The case hit headlines in 2018, following news authorities had begun treating her former husband Robert Wagner as a “person of interest”.

As we’ve investigated the case over the last six years, I think he’s [Wagner] more of a person of interest now,” Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant John Corina revealed in the CBS documentary, 48 Hours. “I mean, we know now that he was the last person to be with Natalie before she disappeared.”

Before her untimely death at the age of 43, Wood was one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, thanks to leading roles in ’70s movies including West Side Story and Rebel Without A Cause.

The future looked bright: Her career was soaring and she was married to Wagner, a charming TV star best known for hit shows Hart To Hart, It Takes A Thief and Switch.

In his 2008 memoir, Wagner admitted he’d fought with both Walken and Wood on the night she died – but that they’d all calmed down afterwards, and he still didn’t know what had happened to her.

“Nobody knows,” he wrote. “There are only two possibilities; either she was trying to get away from the argument, or she was trying to tie the dinghy. But the bottom line is that nobody knows exactly what happened.

“Did I blame myself? If I had been there, I could have done something. But I wasn’t there. I didn’t see her. The door was closed; I thought she was below deck. I didn’t hear anything. But ultimately, a man is responsible for his loved one, and she was my loved one.”
