The Weeknd buys massive $70 million Los Angeles mansion

The Weeknd just bought a new property fit for a king, splashing out $70 million for a sprawling nine bedroom Bel Air estate.

The Weeknd is living like a king in his new $70 million Bel-Air mansion.

The gorgeous property sits on 1.6 acres of land and features nine bedrooms, a spa and a music studio.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the 31-year-old singer bought the luxurious home from Dutch media mogul Reinout Oerlemans and his wife Danielle.

The Weeknd will live like a king in his new Bel-Air mansion.

While the couple didn’t originally plan to sell their renovated home, they revealed they were approached by real-estate agents Rayni and Branden Williams of Beverly Hills Estates.

According to the outlet, the real estate agents persuaded the couple to sell their home.

The Oerlemans sold the property in an off-market deal to The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye.

The 33,000-square-foot mansion features nine bedrooms, as well as many amenities including a tennis court, a spa with a sauna, an indoor pool, an outdoor infinity pool with a waterfall, a movie theatre and a gym.

The home overlooks Bel-Air Country Club.

Additionally, the property boasts a music studio that will likely get a lot of use out of the Can’t Feel My Face singer.

Described as both dramatic and contemporary, the musician’s industrial home has a Mediterranean feel and boasts double gates that create a feeling of seclusion from the outside world.

The home features a number of classic touches, including French doors, various extravagant staircases, a terrace and a grand pond.

While The Weeknd is likely living in the spacious home alone, it’s possible that the singer may have a new love interest in his life.

Back in July, he was spotted with Angelina Jolie “on another secret date at a private concert in LA”.

The two were also seen enjoying a charming date at Giorgio Baldi just days earlier.

According to Instagram account Deuxmoi, the unlikely pair were seen at “Mustafa’s private concert”.
