The five country houses currently under construction on The Block have officially been listed for sale, in what could be a record-breaking season.

The five multimillion-dollar farm houses currently under construction on The Block have been officially listed for sale – and the price guides are the highest ever in the show’s history.

It comes as viewers watch the five teams, Tom and Sarah-Jane, Rachel and Ryan, Ankur and Sharon, Dylan and Jenny and Omar and Oz, take on the mammoth task of renovating a set of country houses in keeping with the heritage building features — a sticking point for the judges this season.

Now posted on Domain, the house sales could potentially smash sale records in Gisborne. Each property has the same price guide of $4 million - $4.4 million.

According to Domain, Gisborne’s median house price is currently $1,100,000.

House 1

Tom and Sarah-Jane’s house is described by Belle Property as, “stunning architectural design meets luxurious country living”.

“Country life is pure perfection in this awe-inspiring home set on 10 acres with breathtaking views of the Mount Macedon Ranges. The bespoke design combines a classic Queenslander with a grand modern extension, taking country living to the next level,” the listing reads.

Rachel and Ryan’s write-up celebrates the vineyard the couple plan to have on the 10-acre property.

“Luxury lodge country living is at the heart of this magnificent state-of-the-art, vineyard estate set on 3.90ha (10 acres) approx.

“Lavish natural finishes showcase the peerless attention to detail, evoking a true sense of comfort and refined luxury throughout,” White Fox Real Estate writes.

Sharon and Ankur’s block position is central to setting their Domain listing apart, with Sotheby’s writing: “Luxurious country living with a spectacular mountain backdrop.

“A magnificent home, on a superior block, with panoramic views of the surrounding Macedon Ranges: this property offers the best of everything”.

For Dylan and Jenny, TCC Real Estate have focused on House 4’s sustainability and positioning.

“Distinctive in design and utterly captivating with its breathtaking northern setting, this completely off-the-grid architectural country estate reveals an all-encompassing connection of building to landscape, with panoramic mountain views that will steal your breath away,” the listing reads.

Meanwhile, Ray White have composed a colourful property description befitting of Oz and Omar’s secluded build.

“A winding tree-lined drive arrives at this new benchmark luxury executive home,” it says.

“This designer masterpiece delivers an indoor/outdoor lifestyle of incomparable quality, grandeur, and family flexibility on over 10 acres of land with views of the Macedon Ranges.”

The ‘Tree Change’ season of The Block has copped backlash from viewers over how the houses will look on completion, with huge, modern extensions tacked on to the original Queensland buildings sourced for the show.

In August, photos of the outside of the homes were leaked on social media, leaving fans and neighbours shocked, particularly after judges have been slamming the teams for not styling with a “country aesthetic” in mind.

Pictures of the completed builds shared on Facebook see the original houses dwarfed by enormous extensions, which fans have called “awful”, “ugly” and “hideous“.

“I can’t believe how bad these look,” one wrote.

A second person questioned; “Why bother putting little old farmhouses there if you’re just going to dwarf them with hideous and completely unsympathetic extensions.”

While a third said, “The additions totally destroy the look of the original homes.”
