Sydney Sweeney champions Australian designer Alex Perry on Jimmy Fallon show
The Euphoria star lit up international televisions when her unexpected Aussie fashion choice stole the spotlight.
Hollywood’s golden girl Sydney Sweeney gave a nod to Australia in her latest TV appearance.
The Euphoria actor wore a showstopping gown by renowned Sydney designer Alex Perry for her appearance on Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Sweeney oozed old Hollywood glamour, shoulder pads and all, in the satin cherry-red midi which retails for $2500.
The outfit showed off the 28-year old’s incredible figure, to the pleasure of the designer.
Posting on Instagram, the proud creator shared a snap of the White Lotus actor with a love heart emoji.
Perry has been a hot pick for A-listers, after being featured in Vogue Australia and shooting to fashion stardom.
Known for his sculpted outfits, his glam evening gowns often focus on the waist and hips – with Sweeney’s signature look playing straight into the designer’s strengths.
Kim Kardashian, Gigi Hadid, Gwyneth Paltrow, Elle Macpherson and Claudia Schiffer have previously sported Perry, who has worked with a string of high profile actors, models and artists.
During her appearance on Fallon, Sweeney spoke about the final season of Euphoria, where her character Cassie was hailed as the anti-hero.
Speaking on wrapping up the third series, she said: “It was super bittersweet because most of the crew I had worked with since I was 20, when I did the pilot.”
“So every single time I’d go back, I felt like I was going home and I was getting to see everybody … They’re a part of [my] family.”
The highly-anticipated drama, characterised by drugs and glitter, features a host of top actors including Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, and Maude Apatow.
Despite waiting three years since season 2, Euphoria fanatics will have to hold on until 2026 until the new episodes are released on HBO.
