Tom Gleeson tears The Veronicas to shreds on ‘The Weekly’

“TWINS can feel each others pain. Does that mean when you’re singing you’re both in agony?” That’s just one of the harsh questions Tom Gleeson hurled at the pop duo.

TOM Gleeson sat opposite The Veronicas and mocked them to their face, and it was hilarious.

The pop duo were great sports during Gleeson’s popular Hard Chat segment on ABC show, The Weekly with Charlie Pickering.

The comedian asked Lisa and Jessica Origliasso if they “ever think of splitting up and having one solo career?” and suggested they could do it from now on.

When one of the twins responded with, “I feel like maybe The Veronicas is too well known now,” Gleeson stared at them and said in his deadpan style, “hmmm ... you might be over-estimating your popularity”.

Gleeson also mocked The Veronicas over their skimpy outfits, their love of endorsements and the fact the sisters almost kiss in some of their music videos.

But his most devastating blow was when he asked, “Twins can feel each others pain ... Does that mean when you’re singing you’re both in agony?”

Ouch.
