This brand new photo seems to show Kim Kardashian wearing her stolen engagement ring

LAST we heard, Kim Kardashian had been robbed of her multi-million dollar engagement ring in Paris, which is exactly why this brand new photo is confusing us.

WHEN Kim Kardashian was held and robbed at gunpoint last October, she lost millions of dollars worth of jewellery — included her prized 20-carat engagement ring from Kanye West, which was valued at more than $A6 million

Which, is exactly why this photo is confusing us.

Rapper 2 Chainz, who is good friends with the Kardashian-West family, took to Instagram recently to post a picture of the two families — and, if you look close enough pictures Kim wearing a ring extremely similar to the one she was robbed of.

The original ring sits in Kim’s daughter North’s hand when she was a baby.

After the harrowing robbery, Kim gave numerous interviews about how it had made her “a completely different person”.

The reality star’s most notable interview was with Ellen DeGeneres in April where she broke down in tears to the talk show host and called the robbery a “wake up call”.

Speaking on Ellen, Kardashian said she did not feel comfortable wearing jewellery since the heist.

“[The robbers] had heard interviews that I did, getting excited about this jewellery and that jewellery. I truly don’t know if I’d ever feel comfortable wearing jewellery anymore, or wearing real jewellery again,” she said.

Since the robbery, Kim has instead worn a simple wedding band on her ring finger, which she is pictured wearing in most of her Instagram photos and whenever she is out in public.

Despite the terrifying experience, the police response to the robbery was swift — the mastermind behind the whole heist was charged in January.

Paris police originally arrested 17 people, including the chauffer who drove Kim around the city in the days leading up to the robbery. Ten people have since been charged.

While investigators originally feared some of Kardashian’s jewels had already been sold on the black market, they also conducted numerous raids which could have uncovered her engagement ring.

The possible return of the 20-carat Lorraine Schwartz ring was probably due to how recognisable it is.

Experts previously commented on the difficulty of selling off the heavily photographed ring, considering it is easily recognisable.

Such gems are often recut into smaller stones, and police say Kardashian’s ring could lose three-quarters of its value after being reworked.

Whether or not Kim’s ring was returned or simply replaced by her husband Kanye is still unconfirmed but the reality star is yet to step out in public wearing the ring again.
