The tribe has spoken for the biggest gameplayer on Australian Survivor

A MAJOR player from Australian Survivor has been eliminated in a shock tribal council vote that will change everything.

THE biggest game player of this year’s season of Australian Survivor is out.

South Australian wedding DJ Aaron “AK” Knight was sent home from Samoa, after being on the wrong side of the numbers after a tribe swap.

Led by West Australian mining technician Luke Toki, and his nemesis — Queenslander stay-at-home mum Tara Pitt — Knight was always a target and he had no hope.

Knight, who many of the cast of Australian Survivor describe as the smartest player out there, had no regrets how he played.

“I had an absolute blast and I have zero regrets,” he said.

“From my very first experience with producers Endemol Shine Australia to today, it’s been the best experience.”

Knight thinks about the moment Jonathan LaPaglia sent him home at tribal council with a smile on his face.”

“It’s a moment that I take myself back to regularly,” he said.

AUSTRALIAN SURVIVOR: No faith or favour for star

“If I doubt my game and feel upset that I didn’t make the jury or go any further, I take myself back to the first couple of hours I was voted out.

“I was honestly ecstatic and I was so happy with the game and how I played.

“I felt like I had this awesome experience, and I did it the way I wanted to do.

“It was actually a really momentous moment in my life, that I will continue to take myself back to.”

Knight says he and Pitt — who targeted each other pretty much from day one — are on good terms.

Pitt was initially voted out of her old Samatau tribe, in a vote led by Knight, but was saved by a twist. She swapped tribes to Asaga.

“Tara didn’t choose to be saved from the game, that’s something that feel in her lap,” he said.

“If that happened to me, I would have been stoked.

“Myself and Tara are on great terms.

“I think she is an awesome person out of the game, and we were unfortunately we were on different alliances.

“We were gunning for each other, but at the end of the day it’s just a game.”

After the tribe swap last episode, which saw Knight go from a powerful position in Samatau to being on the bottom in Asaga, Knight knew his numbers were up.

That didn’t stop him scrambling.

“It was the worst case scenario,” he said.

“I was out numbered, and that was pretty much the end of me.

“But I worked my a*** of to try and make something happen, but unfortunately sometimes there is not much you can do.”

Knight praised Toki — who is the fan favourite this year — and hopes he goes far.

“I’ve loved watching Luke’s game,” he said.

“Obviously the time I spent with him was very short, but I would have loved to have gone deep in the game.

“I think we would have got up to a lot of mischief, but he wanted me out, and he got me out.”

Australian Survivor, on Channel 10 Sunday and Monday nights at 7.30pm.
