THIS is not the end for Tara Pavlovic.
The Bachelor hopeful was last night rejected by Matthew ‘Matty J’ Johnson but if viewers have their way she will return to screens next year as The Bachelorette.
There are already impassioned calls for the unlucky in love Pavlovic to be given a chance to find love on a national and televised scale after Sophie Monk.
“Can we now please give Tara her own show?” Twitter user Peter Johnson said, summing up the general sentiment on social media.
MATTY IS WRONG, TARA IS PERFECT! She has to be the next Bachelorette after Sophie Monk for sure #TheBachelorAU

For weeks viewers have drawn comparisons between down-to-earth Pavlovic and fan favourite Nikki Gogan.
But they hoped she would not befall the same fate.
Last year, when Gogan was rejected by Bachelor Richie Strahan angry viewers aimed a stream of online vitriol at Strahan for making the ‘wrong’ choice.
Similarly, Johnson’s Instagram page was flooded with disapproving comments, within minutes of the rose ceremony.
In one of the most heartbreaking moments in reality TV history, the bubbly and effervescent Pavlovic is reduced to a sad and broken mess. Yet in good ol’ Pavlovic style, she attempts to remain upbeat even in the face of devastating rejection.
“It’s ok, I wanted you to be happy,” she reassured Johnson, before bravely turning her attention to producers.
“I do want to end up with an amazing guy and I thought it was Matty, it’s all good, “ she said, red-eyed and wiping away tears.
“I wasn’t scared to fall in love. I was scared of getting my heart broken, and here I am heartbroken. I didn’t want it to end. I’m devastated.”
And as history repeats itself, viewers have taken Pavlovic’s rejection personally.
My heart legit aches for Tara. Channel 10 pls STOP doing this to us!! This time is way worse than Richie and Nikki ððð #TheBachelorAU

Comments on Johnson’s page ranged in emotion from sadness to shock and anger. Some even resorted to expletive ridden threats.
“Bad choice Matty! Tara was by far the best! Hope you live to regret it!” wrote one user.
“Your (sic) a horrible person!” posted another.
“Dumbass” added one user.
Numerous others were content with repeatedly posting the snake emoticon, presumably drawing a parallel between Johnson and the poisonous, cunning reptile.
Remaining contestants Elise Stacy and Laura Byrne were also criticised as a result.
Viewers slammed Stacy for receiving the rose many believed should have gone to Pavlovic.
According to social media insights company Meltwater, the percentage of people speaking negatively about Stacy jumped from 36.8 per cent from last week’s episodes to 43.75 per cent following this week’s rose ceremony.
However, it was Byrne who received the worst criticism, with viewers unhappy she had been picked as Johnson’s favourite from the beginning. 54.69 per cent of social media comments about Byrne were negative following last night’s episode.
The Bachelor finale airs 7.30pm, tonight on TEN.
