ROBERT Anker, a former member of the dance group Diversity, has died aged 27.

The Sun reports the entrepreneur was involved in a car crash in Canada and died from his injuries, according to a Just Giving page set up by his family.

UK-born Anker had moved to Canada last year to live with his fiancee Cyndi.

Heartbreakingly, the couple had only married last September and were building a life together when the tragic accident occurred.

Anker was a member of Diversity before they won Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 and had also worked alongside big name acts including Jessie J and Paloma Faith.

The dancer’s successful career also saw him working on reality TV shows The X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing, along with appearing in films such as Bring It On.

His cousin Rochelle Hanson has set up a Just Giving page to help pay for Anker’s funeral costs.

She said in the emotional post: “The family are devastated.

“He only just got married in September 2016 to a lovely Canadian girl and they were starting their new life out there.

“He’s been in Diversity, the West End show Thriller and various TV shows and music videos as well as be part of the new Bring It On film.

“He was an amazing and talented dancer.”

“We are raising funds for his family to be able to cover all costs for their trip to go and arrange his funeral in Canada.

“We would love to ensure that his family don’t worry or stress about money at this time.”

After watching Diversity perform for the first time on Britain’s Got Talent, Amanda Holden said: “Just when I think I’ve seen it all, you came on.”

The group got three yeses from Amanda, Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan — who called them “fantastic”.

During the semi-final, Cowell told them “If I had to give marks on that, this would be the only performance tonight I would give a 10 to.”

On the big night, over 17 million tuned in to watch them win the show — with Susan Boyle coming second.

She told her Twitter followers: “Wow what a sad day! Another life gone too soon. My thoughts are with your wife, your family and your friends. RIP Rob Anker.”
