Bachelor in Paradise contestant DeMario Jackson and his lawyer say there’s ‘no criminal investigation’

DEMARIO Jackson, the contestant accused of sexual misconduct on the US reality show, has said he doesn’t fear being investigated.

BACHELOR In Paradise contestant DeMario Jackson and his lawyer Walter Mosley have said they “don’t fear any criminal investigation” after it was announced production had been halted to deal with an alleged incident between him and his co-star Corinne Olympios.

Speaking to Variety on Friday, Mosley claimed the tapes “are the real facts needed to vindicate DeMario’s name”.

The contestant’s lawyer went on to compare having the tapes to “Christmas”.

“As a lawyer, oftentimes, you’re in a case where it’s a he-said-she-said and there are parties with conflicting stories, and every once in a while, you’re gifted with a story that the entire thing is caught on camera,” he said.

“This is one of those rare occasions because they were shooting a reality television show. For 20 or 30 people to get it wrong or to miss something, for seasoned professionals over at Warner Bros. and ABC to get it wrong and for some third party who never saw the tape and who wasn’t on set at the time of the incident to make an accusation — as a lawyer, it’s like Christmas,” he added.

The entire production crew and all of the contestants were sent home from the dating reality show last week after alleged gross sexual misconduct between Olympios and Jackson.

The alleged assault occurred at the Mexican resort where they were filming the ABC reality show and happened after a full day of drinking.

Olympios, who claims to have “no recollection of the event” said “something bad obviously took place.” Jackson has denied any wrongdoing.

According to Olympios’ lawyer Marty Singer, several cast members and production crew have come forward “confirming the fact” of the story.

“If nothing improper occurred on the set of Bachelor in Paradise, why was the production shut down within two days of production? Shutting down production of a television series is almost unheard of. The investigation and subsequent shutting down of the series was initiated based on complaints made by producers on the set of Bachelor in Paradise,” Singer told E! News.
