Bluey fans in Australia are in an uproar after being forced to wait for the release of new episodes that have been made available internationally.

The official Facebook page of the beloved Aussie show shared an announcement on Thursday revealing the first batch of new mini episodes were now streaming.

Seven were released in total for fans in America, but Australians have been left with just five to binge instead.

As a result, many have taken to social media to lash out at the show and question why fans in America are being given access to more episodes of an Aussie made show.

While American audiences and those in Australia received the last few episodes of season three simultaneously, this marks the first time Disney+ and its subscribers beat Aussies to the punch.

While episodes Burger Dog, Bingo 3000, Letter, Hungry and Animals are available to watch, two further episodes are restricted for Aussie viewers.

Fans became enraged on Reddit, with one ranting: “I am FURIOUS right now. Two minisodes, Muffin Unboxing, and 3 Little Pigs, haven’t been released in Australia. In all seriousness, this is a travesty. For so long, we’ve had to suffer and wait, even for stuff that was made here. The Lego movie, Farscape, the Matrix trilogy, and even the Star Wars prequels were ALL made in Australia and all released here after the US.”

The angry fan continued: “We finally have something that’s made here that is released here first, and the Americans are taking it away from us! I encourage all Australians to get on the official Bluey and ABC socials and properly complain about this. I already have.”

Another replied: “I didn’t even know they existed. Why don’t we have access to them? Absolutely ridiculous.”

“I’m not Australian but I definitely believe that the origin country should get it first,” complained another frustrated viewer. “It just feels right that way. So it’s terrible that they’re missing episodes.”

While a fourth said: “Well, the Americans practically own Bluey now. We might as well stupidly give up everything to them as Australia always has. Shame.”

Bluey is broadcast in more than 60 countries. The Emmy-award winning cartoon is the second most popular streaming show in the US.
