Foxtel reveals first look photos of upcoming drama series, The Twelve

Foxtel has given a sneak peek of its new original series, The Twelve, releasing first look images of the cast.

Foxtel* has given a sneak peek of its upcoming original series, The Twelve.

Actors Sam Neill, Marta Dusseldorp and Kate Mulvany can be seen in newly-released photos from the new courtroom drama, which is commissioned by The Foxtel Group and produced by Warner Bros and Easy Tiger Productions.

It will chronicle the story of 12 jurors deciding the fate of a woman named Kate Lawson (Mulvany), who stands accused of killing a child. Neill plays defence barrister Brett Colby and Dusseldorp stars as Lucy Bloom - the prosecution.

In February it was revealed Silvia Colloca, Jenni Baird, Matt Nable, Coco Jack Gillies, Ben Mingay, Hamish Michael and Louisa Mignone would also be joining the star-studded cast, which includes the likes of Brooke Satchwell, Hazem Shammas, and Ngali Shaw.

Meanwhile, the actors who will portray 12 jurors were unveiled in December.

They include Brendan Cowell (Avatar 2, Game of Thrones), Pallavi Sharda (Lion, Save Your Legs!), Ngali Shaw (RFDS, Ben 10: Age of the Multiverse), Catherine Van-Davies (Amazing Grace, Hungry Ghosts), Bishanyia Vincent (RFDS, Bump) and Damien Strouthos (Wonderland, The Tourist).

Also featuring are Nic Cassim (Mr Inbetween, The Secrets She Keeps), Daniel Mitchell (The Moodys, The Jesters), Gennie Nevinson (Muriel’s Wedding, Between Two Worlds), Toby Blome (Privileged, Danger Close), Warren Lee (Eight, Legacy) and Susan Kennedy (All Saints, Home And Away).

New Zealand-born Neill, 74, returned to Australia to film the series, which began shooting in November, having wrapped production on Jurassic World: Dominion. He also filmed Thor: Love and Thunder in Sydney.

Sydney-born director Daniel Nettheim, who has directing credits on Line of Duty and Doctor Who, will be behind the lens for the series, which will run for 10, one-hour episodes.

The Twelve is scheduled for a 2022 release.
