‘F**k that’: Kelly Clarkson’s fight with HR over her weight loss exposed

Pop star turned talk show host Kelly Clarkson has revealed she got in trouble with HR at her NBC talk show for a surprising reason.

Kelly Clarkson has admitted that she got into a heated disagreement with bosses at her talk show over her weight loss.

Clarkson performed at the Hard Rock Live event in New Jersey at the weekend where she was seen engaging with the sellout crowd.

According to Page Six, one audience member called her “sexy” and the star was quick to thank the fan for their sweet compliment.

However, it was then that Clarkson confessed that she got into a disagreement with HR at her NBC talk show over her weight loss.

She told the audience: “They … say you’re not allowed to say someone looks attractive, and I say f*** that.”

Clarkson claimed that HR told her that it was against the rules to compliment a person on their weight loss because it could make people “think that they looked bad before”.

“I was fat before, so I’m saying I want you to say, ‘Damn. … Well done,’” insisted the outspoken star.

“Some of those b****** are out here working, and we’re trying.”

She went on to insist that she had no issue with how she looked before and still felt confident back then too.

“I felt fine both ways, but I’m just saying it’s a lot more fun with clothes now,” she added.

The star then insisted that she would never be caught reaching out to HR over such a remark from a colleague.

“It is not a joke. I know HR is not a joke, but it is really funny some of the things they talk about.”

It comes amid reports that Clarkson wants to quit her daytime talk show when her contract with NBC expires next year.

As a result, executives at the network have been scrambling to find ways to keep her on board.

“Kelly’s number one priority is her children, and they always will be,” one industry insider told Page Six of the Texas native.

“The show is gruelling. It’s a whole lot of work and I hear that Kelly would like to spend more time down South.”

It’s thought Clarkson is hoping to get back to focusing on her family as well as her music career, which has had to take a back seat due to her gruelling work schedule on the show.

Last week, the singer told an audience: “We haven’t done a show in a while, y’all, ’cause I have a talk show. It’s like a whole other job.”

“We are bummed ’cause we love doing shows, and it’s hard to fit it in, so it’s cool when it does work out with the schedule,” she added, “and it’s cool to get to see your faces and feed off y’all. Thank you so much for having so much energy.”
