The Katering Show and Get Krack!n stars are in the thick of filming for their new comedy series at a popular Tasmanian beach.

Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan are filming Deadloch – their series from the same production company that made Rosehaven.

Filming has seen sections of Kingston Beach cordoned off to the public over the past week, with the show centring around two detectives solving the case of how a man’s body came to be washed up on the sand in their quiet town.

McCartney has shared an Instagram post depicting her and McLennan on the pedestrian bridge over Browns River, which flows into the Kingston Dog Beach near the Alum Cliffs.

In the caption, McCartney hilariously describes an awkward shot of her half-standing, half-squatting pose as “a very candid natural photo”.

She hints the person who took the photo is none other than “one of the stars of our show”.

“But who is it?” McCartney teased.

“All will be revealed soon.”

The eight-part series is set to stream to 240 countries and territories around the world in a production from Amazon Studios, Guesswork Television and OK Great Productions.

Kingston Dog Beach has had restricted access during Wednesday and Thursday afternoons while filming has been underway, but the family-friendly area will be back to normal on Friday.
