Jennifer Lopez has stunned at the Super Bowl, with a pole dancing routine worthy of her stripper movie, Hustlers.
Playing a medley of her hits including Get Right and Let’s Get Loud, JLo absolutely nailed the Super Bowl halftime show, complete with wind machine and OTT hair extensions, in a high-octane display not seen since Beyonce and Lady Gaga’s iconic acts.
The halftime show during the San Francisco 49ers vs Kansas City Chiefs clash in Miami was opened by Shakira, who performed her hit Hips Don’t Lie.
Then JLo entered ... with her pole.
While JLo and Shakira performed separately, they teamed up for the finale, both shaking their famous assets at the crowd.
Prior to their now-iconic halftime show, Lopez said: “You know, everything happens when it’s supposed to happen”.

“There were many years that I thought about doing the Super Bowl and that it was something that I wanted to do and even where I was talked to about it. This is when God choose me to do it,” she added.
Shakira said the pair were taking their role model roles seriously.
“I want young Latin girls around the world to know this isn’t an accident and this is something they too can achieve. Jennifer and I talked about that a lot,” Shakira said.
“Symbolically this means so much to us.”
Their Latin girl power extravaganza, which included a cameo from JLo’s 11-year-old daughter Emme, was celebrated by celebs including Pink and Lady Gaga for its feel-good, joyous explosion of dance.
JLo and Shakira took the opportunity to make a political statement to the Super Bowl’s global audience, with a symbolic protest against detention of immigrants at the start of Let’s Get Loud with children in cages of light.
Both artists assembled a dizzying medley of their hits for the show, with Shakira covering two decades of hits from Whenever, Wherever and Hips Don’t Lie through to She Wolf and Chantaje.

Wearing two slashes of red material resembling a skirt and top, Shakira’s performance was big on shaking those truthful hips and belly dancing and less about props.
She did score bonus points for putting her trust in the mosh and pulled off the tricky stunt of singing while crowd surfing to the next stage.
And that tongue thing was immortalised within minutes courtesy of dozens of memes.
When the concert moved into JLo’s half, it pumped up the cheer squad vibe but with added stripper pole in a nod to her Golden Globe-nominated performance in Hustlers.
The degree of difficulty was considerably higher than on the film set considering the pole was held by a couple of dancers rather than anchored to the floor.
JLo also drew heavily from her early career, kicking off with a slice of Jenny From The Block and recreating the green lasers for Waiting For Tonight.
Special guests included favoured Latin pop collaborators Bad Bunny and J. Balvin, with a children’s choir and dozens of dancers, with the women stating ahead of the show they wanted to celebrate Latino culture.
DEMI NAILS SUPER BOWL ANTHEM
Demi Lovato kicked off the Super Bowl with an emotional performance of the American national anthem.
Lovato’s voice was flawless during her rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner, as images of US soldiers currently serving in Qatar were beamed onto the screens at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.
The Super Bowl is the latest in Lovato’s return to the spotlight, after she nearly died of an overdose in 2018.
“One day, I’m gonna sing the national anthem at a super bowl. Onnnee dayyy,” she had tweeted a decade ago.
A week ago, she performed her comeback song Anyone at the Grammys.
