ROSE Byrne has posed for Playboy just three months after giving birth, but it’s not your traditional Playboy shoot.

ROSE Byrne has posed for Playboy just three months after giving birth, but it’s not your traditional lad’s mag shoot.

The 36-year-old does not appear nude in the series of shots, but rather dressed in a sexy red silk robe and a black embellished dress.

It is Byrne’s first shoot for Playboy, which recently announced a new editorial direction that would no longer include nude photos in their mag.

The Aussie actress opened up in an accompanying interview about parenthood and her relationship with her partner Bobby Cannavale, as well as how much she has become like her parents since her son Rocco was born.

“It’s funny how it manifests itself. My parents are very no-nonsense Australians: They don’t like fanfare or fussiness. They’re incredibly self-sufficient and curious,” she explains. “I hope I’m like them in those ways. Australians are real wanderers; we’re well travelled because we’re so isolated. That’s something I’m proud of in being an Australian.”

The X-Men and Neighbours star also talked about her little known role as Dormé, handmaiden to Natalie Portman’s Padmé Amidala, in the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones.

“It was extraordinary being a part of that,” Byrne told Playboy. “I mean, talk about the fans! I have one line in that movie. It’s a stretch to say I have a character at all. But to this day, 90 per cent of the fan mail I get is from Star Wars — 90 per cent — to sign pictures of me in a purple snood.”
