It has been a “very tense and heartbreaking few weeks” for Riley Keough and Priscilla Presley amid their battle over Lisa Marie Presley’s estate.

An insider close to the family told Entertainment Tonight that the grandmother and granddaughter duo are no longer on speaking terms due to Priscilla’s decision to contest her daughter’s will.

“Riley has been mourning the loss of her mother and is heartbroken to have to deal with a trust dispute with a family member,” the source said, according to the New York Post.

“Priscilla is adamant that she has a valid case and that she will prevail in court. Riley and Priscilla aren’t communicating at this time, but have been in communication through lawyers.”

While Keough “would prefer to settle this dispute privately,” both ladies are reportedly “gearing up” for a long battle in court.

“She is heartbroken that this has turned into a public matter and knows her mother would never want this,” they continued, noting that Keough, 33, is “very stressed” but “trying to keep a positive attitude.”

Priscilla, 77, is arguing against the validity of her late daughter’s will, which she had been eliminated from, by claiming Lisa Marie’s signature on a 2016 amendment appeared “inconsistent.”

While some people say the move is merely a “money grab,” the insider claims Priscilla truly “is convinced that [the] old documents had been forged.”

However, Lisa Marie’s friends are certain that she would be “p*ssed” by her mother’s attempts to control her trust.

In fact, sources told The Post earlier this month that the pair weren’t even on good terms before Lisa Marie’s tragic death.

“Lisa didn’t want to have anything to do with her mum,” her friend alleged. “She was basically estranged from Priscilla for the last seven to eight years. They only talked when there was no option.”

Lisa Marie, who was Elvis’ only child, died at age 54 on January 12 after suffering from cardiac arrest.

She was laid to rest next to her son Benjamin, who died by suicide in 2020, as well as her late father at Graceland.
