Pop singer Olivia Rodrigo has done the most Sydney thing ever and gone to pilates in Bondi.
The three-time Grammy winner, who went viral for her smash hit Driver’s License in 2021 is in Australia for her sold-out Guts tour.
Riding high from the success of her newer singles, Get Him Back and Vampire, she’s been out and about in the city instead of staying locked up in her hotel room.
Rodrigo looked very Bondi, in matching black activewear, slides and a baseball hat as she popped into a studio near Bondi Beach.
Squeezing in a workout class, which can’t be easy when you’re one of the most famous pop stars in the world and in the middle of a world tour, she was dressed very much like a local.
Expensive activewear, sun-safe hats, and a shoe you can easily discard is very much the Bondi uniform.
Rodrigo has been making the most of her time in Australia, having first been spotted just casually hanging out in Melbourne’s Collingwood.
Of course, someone filmed her, and it went viral on TikTok, but she was definitely attempting to be normal.
Since she’s been in Sydney, she’d been seen dining out at Bondi hotspot Totti’s, which is known for being a place where celebrities and influencers flock.
Rodrigo has also had quite an eventful time in Australia. At her Melbourne show at Rod Laver Arena, she fell into a hole in the stage.
In the video, the singer can be seen running across the stage, stumbling and then disappearing from view, before popping up again and trying to laugh it off.
“Oh my god that was fun,” she said.
“Wow. Sometimes there’s just a hole in the stage, that’s all right,” she joked, and then, like a true professional, went straight back into performing her hits.
She also delighted Aussie fans by discovering the joys of Arnott’s Aussie classic of Tim Tams.
Rodrigo posted a TikTok of herself enjoying the iconic chocolate biscuit and admitted that she now understood the ‘hype” surrounding them.
In an interview with Triple J, the singer shared that chocolate biscuits weren’t the only foods that caught her attention in Australia.
“Something I’ve been noticing is the eggs and avocado is just incredible here. Really good, and two of my favourite foods,” she said.
She did admit that she hasn’t had much time for brunch, though, because on show days, she tends to fall asleep around 2am and then wake up in the late afternoon.
