ROBBIE Williams has always loved Australia. But his fondness for our stages has surely become an obsession with the lovable British larrikin booking his second tour here in just over a year.

Williams had already announced his intention to bring his Let Me Entertain You world tour to Australia this year via YouTube but now has confirmed the show will grace our arenas in October.

He was last here with his The Swing Tour Live in September and will kick off his greatest hits and covers show run at the Perth Arena on October 9 before heading to Adelaide Entertainment Centre on October 13, Brisbane Entertainment Centre on October 17, Rod Laver Arena on October 22 and Allphones Arena on October 27.

“Australia and New Zealand, Let me entertain you. Me: Robbie Williams. You: the audience. Let’s have some fun together, like old times!” the cheeky musician said.

Williams is making up for lost time after an eight-year break from the stage after closing his Close Encounters tour here in 2006 with stadium concerts in front of 500,000 Australian fans.

He made a quick trip back in 2009 to perform at the ARIA Awards and a one-off club show.

Williams kicked off the Let Me Entertain You tour in Europe in late March with a setlist heavy on fan favourites including Angels, Rock DJ, Millennium, Better Man (occasionally as a duet with his father Peter) and Feel.

The show has also featured an eclectic mix of covers and mashups including Lorde’s Royals, Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, the Isley Brothers’ Shout, U2’s I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For, George Michael’s Freedom 90 and R. Kelly’s Ignition.

No doubt Williams is being particularly cheeky with an intro of Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love ahead of Kids.

The swing singer and his London neighbour, legendary Led Zep guitarist Jimmy Page continue to feud over proposed renovations to the Williams home.

The former Take That member is currently sporting a platinum blond do for the show.

Whether that hairstyle, or his family including wife Ayda and their two children, daughter Theodora and baby son Charlton, make it to Australia remains to be seen.

Advance tickets for the Let Me Entertain You concerts go on sale via Visa Entertainment on May 20 with general tickets available from 10am on May 25.
