Lady Gaga hospitalised for ‘severe physical pain’

LADY Gaga has been forced to cancel a concert tonight and is now under the care of expert medical professionals.

LADY Gaga has been hospitalised for fibromyalgia-related pain, forcing her to cancel her performance in Rio on Friday.

“I was taken to the hospital its not simply hip pain or wear & tear from tour, I’m in severe pain,” she tweeted Thursday. “I’m in good hands w/ the very best doctors.”

The Born This Way songstress’ team also announced the news on her Twitter, writing, “Lady Gaga is suffering from severe physical pain that has impacted her ability to perform. As a result, she sadly must withdraw from this Friday’s Rock in Rio performance. Lady Gaga is under the care of expert medical professionals.”

The 31-year-old performer also gave her apologies and promised to return to Rio when she is feeling better.

Gaga opened up about dealing with chronic pain in the new documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two. On Tuesday, she noted via social media some of the methods she employs to help manage it: “Thought ice helped #Fibromyalgia. I was wrong & making it worse. Warm/Heat is better. Electric Heated Blanket, Infrared Sauna, Epsom Baths.”
