The star has finally announced fresh dates for his Australian tour, although one city has been snubbed in the announcement.

'Ready to close the chapter': The Weeknd reverts back to birth name

The Weeknd has finally revealed he will venture Down Under for an Australian tour just months after axing his last tour.

The After Hours Til Dawn global stadium tour is set to hit Melbourne and Sydney in October, with four dates across Marvel Stadium and Accor Stadium.

“AUSTRALIA, I didn’t forget about you. See you in October,” the singer posted to Instagram on Monday morning.

Tickets are set to go on sale in just two days, with those who had tickets to his last tour receiving a special presale from noon on Wednesday.

However, fans have been quick to point out that Brisbane has been snubbed in this most recent tour announcement, with only Sydney and Melbourne copping dates.

“How the f**k are you gonna go from touring Sydney, Melbourne AND Brisbane last year, cancel it then only go to Sydney and Melbourne this year??!!!! Brisbane is so devastated rn,” one person commented.

“What about those of us that had Brisbane tickets?” another wrote.

“Bro f***ing ditches Brisbane now wtf,” added another.

No New Zealand dates have been announced, either.

It comes after The Weeknd cancelled his last Australian tour in April.

The Weeknd postpones Australian tour

The tour was initially set for November last year but was postponed indefinitely just weeks out from the concerts.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, we must reschedule the Australia/New Zealand tour,” he said at the time.

“New dates will be announced next year and current tickets will be valid for the new shows. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend the new dates. Deeply disappointed but can’t wait to be there with you!”

The new shows will mark the singer’s first Australian gigs since 2017, though it will be his first time playing in an Australian stadium.

The pop star will hit Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on October 5 and 6 and Sydney’s Accor Stadium on October 22 and 23.
