Overwhelming demand to see AC/DC’s next Australian tour has forced the hand of promoters to schedule a second show in Sydney.

Accor stadium announced the additional show this morning, as fans took to social media complaining about huge online ticket queues.

“Due to overwhelming demand, a second Sydney show has been added to AC/DC’s long-awaited POWER UP Australian Tour,” the statement read.

“The band (is) now set to play Friday 21 and Tuesday 25 November at Accor Stadium.”

Fans who braved the online queues this morning shared their experiences on social media, some sitting behind over 50,000 other Aussies waiting for tickets.

“How do I go from 26 in queue to being told I’ve got restricted access. Now I’m 58000. Thanks a lot,” one disgruntled fan posted to X.

“Only around 30,000 ahead of me in the queue for #ACDC #pwrup. I’m hanging in there,” another said.

For those Sydney Dcca Dacca diehards who missed out, tickets for the additional November 25 show are now on sale at Ticketek.

Meanwhile, promoters have shared some advice on maximising your chances of success.

WHAT ARE THE TOUR DATES?

Acca Dacca are playing one show only in each select Australian capital city.

The band includes Angus Young on lead guitar, vocalist Brian Johnson, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug and bass player Chris Chaney.

They will be supported by Amyl And The Sniffers at each show.

Melbourne: Wednesday November 12 at the MCG.

Sydney: Friday November 21 at Accor Stadium.

Adelaide: Sunday November 30 at the BP Adelaide Repco Supercars Championship Grand Final.

Perth: Thursday December 4 at Optus Stadium.

Brisbane: Sunday December 14 at Suncorp Stadium.

WHEN DOES THE SALE START?

Today, Thursday June 26 is the big day!

Ticket sale times are staggered depending on the location and the times listed below are in the timezone of where the concert is being held.

Sydney tickets went on sale first at 9am followed by Adelaide at 10am, Brisbane at 11am and Melbourne and Perth both at 1pm.

You can buy a maximum of eight tickets per transaction.

WHERE CAN I BUY TICKETS?

Do not fall for the dirty deeds done by scalpers.

Tickets to the Adelaide concert are being sold by Ticketmaster with all other concerts sold by Ticketek.

CAN I BRING THE KIDS?

Yes you can, however all patrons require a ticket regardless of their age.

Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult and it is not recommended to buy general admission standing areas tickets for children under the age of 15.

HOW MUCH IS THIS GONNA SET ME BACK?

B Reserve Seating tickets start at $132.45 each and Ultimate A Reserve are going for $407.70 plus fees with a whole range of other options in between.

Additionally, if you already have a ticket to the BP Adelaide Repco Supercars Championship Grand Final you can access the General Admission Standing Area C of the concert for no additional charge.

WHEN SHOULD I LOG ON TO BUY?

Ticketek has an online lounge you can join an hour prior to the sale and Ticketmaster advises you logon half an hour before the tickets are available.

SHOULD I OPEN MULTIPLE TABS TO MAXIMISE MY CHANCES?

Yeah, nah. This is a VERY bad idea.

Ticketek and Ticketmaster both have multiple safeguards in place to catch bots who are looking to snap up all the tickets.

Logging in on multiple tabs or devices is a great way to find yourself booted out of the queue.

WHAT ELSE CAN I DO TO MAKE SURE I GET A TICKET?

Log in to your Ticketek or Ticketmaster account ahead of time to make sure you remember your password and that all your personal details are up to date.

Keep your phone handy as you will likely be sent a two factor authentication text.

According to the tour promoter TEG Dainty, you should make sure you have all your ducks in a row well before the tickets go live.

“Download the Ticketek App – purchased tickets will only be accessible via the Ticketek App,” a spokesman for the promoter said.

“Disable VPNs or IP-masking tools - your unique IP helps us confirm you’re a real person, not a bot.”

The spokesman said there were a few other handy tricks to make sure your purchase goes smoothly.

“Turn off any browser extensions that could trigger bot detection.,” he said.

“Don’t refresh or close your browser. The page will automatically refresh.

“Ensure your bank won’t block the transaction by checking spending limits or pre-authorising the purchase.”

HOW CAN I GET MY TICKETS AFTER PURCHASE?

Both Ticketek and Ticketmaster will let you download the tickets to your Apple or Google Wallet after purchase.

The barcodes will be inaccessible for now until closer to the concert date.

BUT WHAT IF I MISS OUT?

Don’t panic.

Ticketek is planning to launch an official fan-to-fan resale.
