Drake has sent social media into a frenzy after seemingly inserting himself into one of Australia’s biggest influencer feuds - Anna Paul vs. Mikaela Testa.
During his first Brisbane show on Monday night, the rapper took the stage at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with “It made me feel broke” on the front and “Gold Coast 2025” on the back - raising eyebrows across social media.
The sentence directly mirrors a statement made by influencer Anna Paul in a recent TikTok video, where she responded to allegations from her former best friend, fellow influencer Mikaela Testa.
The feud between Paul and Testa erupted in January after Testa accused Paul of misleading fans about her financial background and criticized her for running cash giveaways to promote her OnlyFans account.
Testa slammed the promotions as “gross” and “out of touch,” claiming they exploited fans, many of whom she suggested were underage.
Paul responded in an emotional TikTok in February, defending herself and insisting her experiences of financial hardship were real.
The drama quickly divided their followers, dominating Aussie TikTok discourse for weeks.
Given the Gold Coast references on Drake’s shirt and the infamous feud between the two influencers, fans quickly speculated that the rapper was subtly taking sides.
Social media went into meltdown, with users posting theories that “Drake has officially picked a side.”
Adding fuel to the fire, Drake was later spotted entering an after-party at Tama Supper Club in Fortitude Valley wearing a shirt that read “Anna vs. Mikaela”, seemingly confirming suspicions that his concert attire was a nod to the influencer clash.
The exclusive invite-only after-party saw guests arriving in a convoy of black Mercedes vans, with heavy security turning away hopefuls at the door.
Of the estimated 60 attendees, all were hand-picked women, with no men allowed outside of Drake and his entourage.
Several women who weren’t on the exclusive guest list were also seen being turned away at the door.
The rapper arrived about 1am and stayed until approximately 4am.
Phones were strictly prohibited, with all guests required to check in their devices in security bags upon entry.
While some fans see Drake’s wardrobe choices as a lighthearted nod to local pop culture, others have questioned why he would involve himself in the influencer drama, especially as he remains embroiled in his own high-profile feud with Grammy winner Kendrick Lamar.
Neither Anna Paul nor Mikaela Testa has publicly addressed Drake’s apparent reference to their fallout.
