A clip of Dua Lipa’s awkward interaction with a busker at Glastonbury has gone viral.
Days after wowing the crowd while performing at the Pyramid Stage at the famed UK music festival, the singer found herself on the receiving end when she was ambushed by a festivalgoer and forced to listen to his music.
Aspiring musician Liam C. stopped the British singer in her tracks as she was walking around the festival and asked if he could play her his music.
“My name is Liam C, and I saw your Camden documentary and I thought it was amazing,” he began in the footage, which featured Dua Lipa looking confused.
“Right now I am busking around Camden and I wanted to play you 30 seconds of my song and if you like it, I just want to get your reaction and that’s it.”
She politely obliged with a shoulder shrug as the man began. During his performance, she stood respectfully by his side and bopped along as he played his ukulele.
However, the singer clearly looked uncomfortable as her eyes darted around, with many Twitter users pointing out her awkwardness through funny commentary, screenshots and memes.
“I cannot stop watching that awful busker man accosting. Dua Lipa and seeing her soul slowly leave her body omg,” one tweeted.
“I’m crying she did not give a single f**k,” another commented, while one insisted, “Someone free her.”
“You get to meet Dua Lipa and this is what you do my god y’all,” yet another tweeted, as one wrote, “She literally looks like she’s asking for help or a way to get out.”
Some fans then noted thethree-time Grammy winner couldn’t get out of there quick enough once the busker finished his song.
“She ain’t even let him finish, she couldn’t wait to rush outta there,” one quipped, with another noting: “She thought it would be like a chorus but he kept going lmao.”
“I didn’t think it could possibly get any more cringe...Until he started talking at the end,” one Twitter user concluded.
It wasn’t all hate for the budding muso, with some Twitter users praising him for chasing his dreams.
“So what - he got to give Dua Lipa a memory of Glastonbury ! It’s still cool,” one supporter tweeted, while another chimed in, “Well done that man. Took that shot.”
“Least he is trying. Keep going fella,” encouraged another, with another user agreeing: “She wasn’t into it. But at least he tried.”
