Kylie Minogue lets slip she will tour Australia

Kylie Minogue dropped major news during an interview to promote her surprise new single My Oh My.

Welcome to Minogue Lane

In the wake of Minogue’s triumphant headlining performance at London’s Hyde Park last weekend, the Australian pop queen has let it slip she is coming home.

Minogue’s adoring Aussie fans have waited patiently for an Australian tour announcement since she released her hit record Tension last year, but the enduring pop star focused on her Las Vegas residency to consolidate the American audience she won with Padam Padam.

Minogue was talking up a storm to promote her surprise new single My Oh My, which features American pop princess Bebe Rexha and Swedish hitmaker Tove Lo, when she semi-confirmed the Australian tour.

“I want to say yes. Yes. The answer is yes! We’re just locking down details. Maybe I wasn’t meant to say that, but yes!” she told The Fox’s Fifi, Fev and Nick show.

Minogue’s last big gig in Australia was to headline the World Pride concert in Sydney.

Minogue also welcomed the fan-led campaign to name a Melbourne laneway after her and sister Dannii.

“We have nothing to do with it, but it would be incredible.”

KYLIE’S NEW SONG WITH MEGA POP QUEENS

Kylie Minogue launched her next campaign to own the pop charts with fellow pop queens Bebe Rexha and Tove Lo.

Minogue and her costars have been teasing new music with cute cryptic social media posts.

Their dance pop collaboration My Oh My was released at 6pm on Thursday.

Dannii Minogue declared the pop Charlie’s Angels “a party” on her big sister’s post.

US-based Australian pop singer Betty Who commented “What the heck, how do I get in on this?”

The new pop supergroup incited a fan frenzy with their clips on Wednesday, which featured Minogue dialling 606 and the other two artists answering the call which featured MOM as the caller ID.

The calls picked up by Rexha and Lo shared a snippet of dance pop music which was clearly Minogue’s vocal.

Fans have speculated MOM could be an acronym for the single’s title with some suggesting My Oh My or derivations of Mother.

Each of their posts was captioned with “Hi” and the emoji of their respective astrological signs – Minogue is a Gemini, Rexha’s a Virgo and Lo is a Scorpio.

Fans have been calling for another collaboration between Minogue and Lo since the Australian pop queen featured on the Swedish artist’s single Really Don’t Like You in 2019.

It is likely the new single could drop as soon as Thursday to coincide with Minogue’s huge BST Hyde Park gig in London on July 13.

That gig would be the perfect launch pad for her latest hit if Rexha and Lo were to be surprise guests for the live premiere at the huge outdoor show set to be one of the gigs of the year in the UK.

After the phenomenal success of Padam Padam last year and her Las Vegas residency put Minogue back at the top of the pop ecosystem, the 56-year-old renaissance woman appears to be entering her Collaboration Era.

Her fans absolutely lost it when she finally united with Madonna during the legend’s Celebrations tour in March to sing a mash-up of I Will Survive and Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.

Minogue has also been dominating new music playlists and boot scootin’ up a dust storm with alt country star and hitmaker Diplo on their collaborative track Midnight Ride.

And now she is at the centre of a fan campaign to name a Melbourne laneway in her honour.
