American pop star Olivia Rodrigo popped up at her Sydney “store” on Wednesday ahead of her four sold out shows this week.

The Vampire superstar, who dramatically fell down a stage trapdoor during her final concert in Melbourne on Monday, greeted about 150 fans and guests at the GUTS Gallery at Walsh Bay.

With fans buying up big on souvenirs of the tour, the singer’s label Universal and American Express set up an exclusive pop-up merchandise store which will be open until Sunday for those who hate queuing at the concerts.

Those invited to the pop-up opening were granted a brief meet and greet with the pop phenomenon who has generated more than 19 billion Spotify streams since she dropped her smash hit debut single Drivers License and album Sour in 2021.

Rodrigo has been immersing herself in Aussie traditions, including sampling Tim Tams and dining out at Bondi hotspot Totti’s on Tuesday.

She sported a cheeky crop top at one of her Melbourne shows with the caption “Vegemite be in love”.

But during the pop-up appearance, Rodrigo confessed she was yet to try the divisive black sandwich spread.

“I’m too scared!” she said.

Wearing a white dress and red ballet flats, the 21-year-old singer and songwriter made every encounter feel special even though it lasted about 20 seconds.

One mother who brought her daughter to the event complimented how the singer grabbed each fan’s hand in hers, looked them directly in the eye and rewarded them with her megawatt smile before posing for a few photos.

“She’s just so lovely,” the grateful mum said.

Those who have seen the shows in Melbourne recommend bringing earplugs to dull the deafening screams of the Livies.

Rodrigo’s GUTS tour plays at Qudos Bank Arena on Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday
