RENOWNED musician, comedian, actor, writer, and composer Tim Minchin is coming to Hobart next year.
Minchin will visit Hobart on his BACK tour at Wrest Point on Friday, March 13 as part of a run on shows that will also visit Perth, Sydney, Newcastle, and Melbourne.
He has been celebrated for writing the music and lyrics for the acclaimed Matilda the Musical, which continues to run in the West End and has played in more than 50 cities worldwide.
Minchin also wrote the music and lyrics for the musical adaptation of Groundhog Day, has starred in ABC comedy series Squinters, and appeared as Friar Tuck in the Hollywood release of Robin Hood.
BACK is billed as “old songs, new songs, and f... you songs,” hinting at a set list of material from all corners of Minchin’s eclectic repertoire.
Tickets go on sale at 12pm on Wednesday, August 28.
