Kylie Minogue to star in action film San Andreas with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson

SHE’S dabbled in film since making her acting debut in Neighbours back in 1986, and it seems Kylie Minogue is set to return to the big screen.

SHE’S dabbled in film since making her acting debut in Neighbours back in 1986, and it seems Kylie Minogue is set to return to the big screen.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 46-year-old pop star will be appearing in big-budget action film San Andreas alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Minogue’s supporting role is being kept under wraps for now but Carla Gugino (Sin City) also stars in the Brad Peyton-helmed earthquake film.

She’s no stranger to the big screen.

San Andreas is based around a rescue-chopper pilot and his ex-wife (Johnson and Gugino) making a dangerous journey across California to rescue their daughter after a massive earthquake hits.

While set in the US, the project is currently shooting on the Gold Coast in Australia.

The multiple Grammy award winner has been selective with her film roles in the past, most notably appearing in Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge in 2001 as the dancing green fairy.

It’s thought the singer will contribute to the San Andreas soundtrack as well.

San Andreas is due to be released in June, 2015.
