Keanu Reeves confirms wild Winona Ryder rumour

Keanu Reeves has opened up about a jaw-dropping story regarding his Dracula co-star, Winona Ryder.

Keanu Reeves may be the nicest guy on Earth

Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder part, who played lovers in the Francis Ford Coppola 1992 dark drama Dracula, got married in one scene – but it could mean they are technically married in real life.

Reeves, 57, recently revealed that the nuptials in the film were done by an actual priest and he and the Stranger Things star, 50, might be husband and wife, reports the New York Post.

“We did a whole take of a marriage ceremony with real priests,” Reeves told Esquire. “Winona says we are. Coppola says we are. So I guess we’re married under the eyes of God.”

Ryder has also claimed that the two actually tied the knot in a Greek Orthodox church in Los Angeles.

“We actually got married in Dracula,” she revealed in a 2018 Entertainment Weekly interview. “No, I swear to God I think we’re married in real life. In that scene, Francis [Ford Coppola] used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So I think we’re married.”

“This is pretty authentic and I think very beautiful, because we actually did the ceremony and had the priest do the ceremony,” Coppola told the Guardian in 2018. “So in a sense, when we were all done, we realised that Keanu and Winona really are married as a result of this scene and this ceremony.”

Ryder and the John Wick actor have been friends for decades and have starred in other films together such as 2006’s A Scanner Darkly, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee in 2009 and 2018’s Destination Wedding.

Reeves was also profiled for Esquire’s forthcoming December issue in which his other friend and frequent co-star Sandra Bullock said the two “could have survived” as a couple, but denied ever dating him.

“Keanu’s a guy who, I feel like, is friends with every woman he’s ever dated,” said the Oscar winner, 57.

“I don’t think there’s anyone who has something horrible to say about him. So maybe we could have survived. I don’t know.

“But we didn’t have to survive anything,” said Bullock, who starred with Reeves in Speed. “We just get to grow up together on parallel roads and tip our hats and meet for a dinner and try to work together. And the longer time goes on, the more in awe I am of the human being.

“Would I have been able to say that if he had dumped me and made me angry? Probably not,” Bullock said.
