A Married At First Sight publicist has been outed for controlling a cast member’s interview with Nova’s Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli.

WA-based bride Bronte Schofield, who is paired with this season’s ‘villain’ Harrison Boon on the Channel 9 dating series, sat down on Fitzy & Wippa Thursday to talk about the explosive events unfolding on the show this week.

But Bronte, 28, was clearly distracted during the exchange, with Nova posting a video on its Instagram page showing a network publicist was sat in the studio using various hand signals guiding Bronte on what she could and couldn’t say.

The unnamed publicist could be seen using thumbs ups, shaking her head and waving her hands at every question, with Wippa even calling her out for the sneaky act on-air.

“Are you angry you slept with Harrison?” Wippa asked Bronte, who laughed awkwardly before looking to the publicist.

“You don’t have to look at the publicist, who’s shaking her head,” Wippa added.

Bronte kept staring at the publicist during the chat.

When Fitzy asked Bronte if she just stayed in the experiment to “boost” her public profile – given Harrison’s repeatedly questionable behaviour – the beauty educator argued her intentions were genuine.

“God forbid I actually want to try it with the experiment,” Bronte said, with the publicist seen enthusiastically flashing her a thumbs up at her response.

Wippa then impersonated the publicist, throwing exaggerated thumbs ups in Bronte’s direction as he and Fitzy broke out in giggles.

“Watching your publicist give thumbs ups to your answers is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen,” Wippa laughed.

More questions followed, with the publicist hurriedly indicating how Bronte should answer after each one.

Fans took to the comments section of Fitzy and Wippa’s video posting cry-laughing emojis, with TV presenter Sophie Monk even weighing in.

“I didn’t know there was a media sign language. I need this lady in my life,” Monk wrote.

The network is understandably concerned about spoilers, with the show continuing to air for another two months.

But MAFS contestants are notorious for going rogue during interviews and on social media despite their strict contracts.

Notably, Gold Coast marketing guru Dan Hunjas, who is ‘married’ to Sandy Jawanda on the show, has been publicly spotted engaging in PDA with his new girlfriend Samantha Symes – confirming his TV union doesn’t last.

And an intruder bride whose set to enter the experiment next week, Tasmanian nurse Tayla Winter, took to her Instagram stories last week before Nine took control of her social media, airing shocking allegations about fellow bride Lyndall Grace, the girl-next-door WA accountant who has struggled to find love due to her battle with cystic fibrosis.

Tayla accused the unsuspecting bride of being the “biggest bully ever”, adding she had “hurt” multiple people with her alleged behaviour.

“I feel it’s important to get this out before my accounts get taken,” Tayla wrote. “Lyndall, you’re the biggest bully I’ve ever met. This article is surface level and the amount of hurt you have caused many people is damaging and dangerous.

“I’m hoping people get to tell their truth and the real story is heard sooner rather than later.”
