‘Madness’: Travis Kelce on falling in love with Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce has revealed intimate details about his relationship with Taylor Swift, including why he fell in love with her.

Travis Kelce has opened up about his relationship with Taylor Swift and revealed why his desire for privacy won’t stop him from talking about her.

Kelce and Swift are in a very public relationship, insofar as they are frequently seen and pictured together, but the pair have nevertheless stayed fairly quiet about the details of their lives together.

The NFL star just went viral (again) because he was seen supporting Swift at her sold-out stadium show, most recently in London, where he even joined her on stage.

Swift subsequently thanked him on Instagram, saying she was still “swooning” and “cracking up” over his performance.

The support is reciprocal, with Swift having previously shown up to support Kelce at his NFL games for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kelce often alludes to their relationship, especially on his Podcast, New Heights, which he co-hosts with his brother, but he rarely addresses it directly.

After all the fanfare of seeing him on stage in London and then hanging out with Swift afterwards, however, Kelce decided to stop tip-toeing around the subject, and spoke directly about it on the Bussin With The Boys podcast, hosted by fellow NFL players Will Compton and Taylor Lewan.

“You want to keep things private, but at the same time, I’m not here to hide anything. That’s my girl, that’s my lady, and I’m proud of that,” he declared.

Kelce shared that he started to fall for Swift when he realised how genuine and self-aware she was.

“That is why I started to really fall for just how genuine she is, friends and family. It can get crazy with that much attention, but she keeps it so chill and cool,” he explained.

He was also amazed at how, when Swift started attending his games, she didn’t expect any special treatment and just wanted to be part of it with the rest of his family and friends.

“She’s in the madness. She wants to support me and do things like that,” he said.

As for whether his teammates cared about their relationship, Kelce said he doubted they “gave a sh**.”

He added that when he and Swift first started to see each other, they kept their relationship private for as long as they could, but now he wasn’t going to make any extra effort to hide it.

He also listed his three favourite songs of hers: Blank Space, Cruel Summer, and So High School. The last one, which is rumoured to be about their romance, he called “sentimental”.

Fans were quick to celebrate Kelce’s comments and note how he didn’t seem intimidated by Swift’s massive success.

“Grinning like a happy goon over this,” one commented.

“Travis Kelce, the man that you are,” another remarked.

“I respect Travis Kelce so much,” one wrote.

“This man is so in love!” another said.
