Leonardo DiCaprio might be spending his summer on a yacht with a 26-year-old model, but things aren’t going perfectly.
DiCaprio, 49, has been on vacation with his girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti and his best mate, Tobey Maguire. The trio has been hitting the high seas with gusto.
It is glamorous, but things have hit a snag because DiCaprio appears to have been stung by a jellyfish.
Yes! DiCaprio was attacked but seems to be fine.
Photos have revealed the movie star examining the injury while his model girlfriend inspects the damage.
He even pulls up his board shorts to inspect the severity of the injury.
It’s quite a sweet moment between the pair. She looks genuinely very sorry for him, and anyone who has been stung – knows how much it hurts.
Aside from that disaster, the trip has been quite the headline magnet.
For a while, it looked like Maguire was third-wheeling after photos emerged of him and Ceretti flying around together on a jetski, but he has found his own romantic partner to enjoy the holiday with.
Maguire, 49, was seen kissing 24-year-old Babette Strijbos.
Which, of course, comes after Maguire made headlines for hanging out with model Lily Chee, 20, on the 4th of July.
It caused controversy because she is only three years older than Maguire’s eldest daughter.
The actor has two children, and his ex-wife, Jennifer Meyer, is a well-known jewellery designer.
They have a 17-year-old daughter, Ruby, and a 15-year-old son, Otis, and they separated in 2016.
Meyer responded to a comment on Instagram asking if her ex-husband was dating the model.
The jewellery designer, whose ex-husband is approaching 50, claimed he was just “friends” with the model, who isn’t old enough to drink in America legally.
“I don’t usually respond to such nonsense, but he was kindly helping a friend to her car, being a good guy. And now he has blasted online for dating someone he is not. But thank you for your rude comment,” she wrote.
Maguire is having a romantic dalliance with a 24-year-old instead.
Meanwhile, while Ceretti might be decades younger than DiCaprio, she’s actually a bit older than his usual type.
The Hollywood actor has a reputation for not dating women over 25.
It has become such a pop culture joke that when pop singer Sabrina Carpenter turned 25 this year, her birthday cake was adorned with a DiCaprio meme.
“No, don’t turn 25. You’re so sexy,” it read.
The meme references the fact that DiCaprio rarely dates anyone older than 25. Most recently, he dated actor Camila Morrone, but the pair called it quits after she turned 25.
The joke is that now that Carpenter has turned 25, she’s officially too old to date the movie star.
