Frankie Muniz reveals his net worth, claims he’s set up for life on I’m A Celeb

Former teen star Frankie Muniz has divulged on his multimillion-dollar net worth to his Aussie I’m A Celebrity camp mates.

Frankie Muniz reveals insane net worth

Frankie Muniz has revealed he’s set up for life from his work as an actor in his teens.

Speaking to his Australian camp mates on Channel 10’s I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!, which will air Wednesday night, the now 38-year-old US star said he’d cashed in $US40 million by the time he was 19.

The celebs began talking about Twitter trolling, with Muniz saying “used to” bite back at offensive comments about him on the social media platform.

“This kid wrote, ‘I’m sorry but your acting is just awful.’ And I was in a movie, and I went, ‘Yeah it is, but you know what’s not awful? Being retired at 19 with $40 million. Good luck moving out of your mum’s house before you’re 35.’

“His Twitter name was ‘I heart Mountain Dew’. Like, OK.”

Muniz added in the toktokkie – where celebs on the show speak to producers – that he “never usually responds” to hateful commentary.

“But every once in a while you have to punch back you can only take so many punches before you get knocked out,” he said.

“Take a swing back, I’m a human too. If you can dish it, you need to be able to take it.”

The former teen star added he could retire comfortably.

Fellow celeb Brittany Hockley asked Muniz, who is now a race car driver living in Arizona with his wife and two-year-old child, if he made enough money up until this point to retire from work completely.

“Oh, 100 per cent,” Muniz said. “But I’m neurotically motivated. I’ve just always worked since I was eight years old. I don’t know how to just be in the moment and not be focused on what I’m doing next.”

Given Muniz largely stepped away from Hollywood back in 2008, it’s estimated most of his cash flow would be coming by way of residual cheques from the sitcom Malcolm in the Middle, which ran for seven seasons from 2000 and saw him win an Emmy Award.

By the end of its run, Muniz was making around $US150,000 per episode, not adjusted for inflation.

During his reign as “Hollywood’s most bankable teen”, Muniz starred in hit films including Agent Cody Banks, Big Fat Liar, and Racing Stripes.

Speaking to news.com.au before entering the South African jungle last week, Muniz said he made the decision to step away for his mental health, adding he’d suffered “impostor syndrome” for years.

“I never felt like I fully fit in the Hollywood world, even though I was in the world. I was nominated for Emmys and Golden Globes, and I was going to all this stuff, and I was there, and I was like, how am I here?” he said.

“I hated LA, so I kind of stayed in my own little world, my own little bubble. And moving to Arizona, I did it on a whim, and I realised immediately that I started looking up. I started enjoying looking at trees and birds in the sky. Going to the grocery store was a fun thing. You don’t get that in LA. It’s a miserable experience.”

I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10
