A WHISPERING, breathing installation will set the tone for Dark Mofo at Battery Point’s historic Narryna.
If They Should Accidentally Fall, by nationally recognised Tasmanian artist Patrick Hall, features a congregation of bottled faces, who whisper to their preachers and prophets of longing and disappointment and the slow erosion of belief.
DARK MOFO 2019: THE ULTIMATE GUIDE
Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery house museums manager Scott Carlin said the haunting installation was fitting for Narryna.
“We are a historic house but we see history as being about the present,” he said,
“The history we’ve got involved in the house is quite dark and murky.”
Narryna has been part of Dark Mofo since 2014, showing locals and visitors a different side to one of Hobart’s traditional heritage attractions.
