Hollywood heart-throb Chris Hemsworth has shown his “down-to-earth” character, dropping in for some Tasmanian fish and chips in the mid-afternoon sun at a Hobart waterfront restaurant.
The Australian actor – best known for his role as Thor in the Marvel movies – had spent the morning at Shipstern Bluff watching the action in the Red Bull Cape Fear surf contest.
TASSIE SURFERS STAR AT SHIPSTERN BLUFF
Hemsworth and his entourage of six sat down for a meal at Fish Frenzy on Hobart’s waterfront.
Restaurant manager Gary Shepherd said the actor was very down-to-earth.
“They just rocked in, had some of our famous blue eye and chips – he said he loved it,” Mr Shepherd said.
“Our chef’s brother was down at Shippies earlier today, that’s where Chris and the guys have been as well.
“He’s very down-to-earth. He said thanks very much.”
On Monday morning a fan of the Hollywood star posted a video on Instagram of Hemsworth and his friends sailing a boat out of Hobart’s waterfront to watch the surfing competition.
