Zendaya’s rep blasts ‘completely false’ crop top report

The pop star was reportedly turned away from a restaurant over her choice of outfit, but her rep has offered a completely different story.

Zendaya’s rep shut down reports that the actress was turned away from a restaurant on Saturday because of her clothing.

“This is completely false,” her rep, Scott Newman, exclusively told Page Six.

According to a report published Monday, the Dune star was allegedly denied entry to Terrazza Borromini in Rome because her cropped black tube top didn’t adhere to the restaurant’s dress code.

However, Newman told us that the group Zendaya was in “realised” that they had previously eaten at the restaurant during a prior trip, so they “left and went to another place.”

In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, the actress can be seen wearing the midriff-exposing bandeau with loose-fitting khaki pants.

She accessorised with a thin brown belt, black leather loafers, a Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama bag and gold bracelets.

The Euphoria star was in Italy this past weekend for the opening of Bulgari’s new luxury hotel, Bulgari Hotel Roma.

The actress, who is currently dating her Spider-Man co-star Tom Holland, attended the opening on Thursday alongside fellow Bulgari ambassador Priyanka Chopra.

Zendaya shared on Instagram the same night that she narrowly escaped a wardrobe fiasco when her original outfit was “lost in transit.”

“Fun fact … my dress for tonight’s @bulgarihotels event got lost in transit, so we got this suit an hour before the event,” she captioned an Instagram Story post showing off her oversized black Valentino blazer and matching trousers.

“When in doubt … a @maisonvalentino suit smile @luxurylaw,” the actress continued, tagging recently retired stylist Law Roach.

Her impromptu look featured a chain mail-style tank top covered in crystals.

On May 16, the Greatest Showman star was in Venice for another glam Bulgari event.

The star sat front row at the brand’s presentation of its newest line, wearing a Bulgari diamond Serpenti necklace and a black off-the-shoulder gown.

Other A-list Bulgari ambassadors present included Chopra and Anne Hathaway.
