Special Ops: Lioness actor Mike Heslin dead at age 30, doctors have ‘no explanation’

An actor was in perfect health when suddenly passed away - and doctors “have no explanation for what happened”.

Actor Mike Heslin has died from an “unexpected cardiac arrest,” his husband, Scotty Dynamo, announced via Instagram Friday. He was just 30 years old.

The widower shared that the Special Ops: Lioness actor, whom he remembers as his “best friend” and “soulmate,” passed away on Tuesday after a “week long battle in the hospital.”

“Michael was young, in perfect health, and the doctors have no explanation for what happened,” Dynamo added alongside a slideshow of photos of Heslin throughout his life, including on their wedding day.

The DJ said his late spouse was a “brilliant, selfless, talented, and a real-life guardian angel” who helped him overcome “multiple rounds of cancer,” and was a “shoulder to lean on” and gave “the best advice.”

“When I felt you take your last breath, my heart shattered into a million pieces,” Dynamo continued. “If I had the power to trade places with you, I would do it in an instant.”

The musical artist shared that he and the Holiday Proposal Plan actor had been in the “early stages” of building a family together and that the latter said he felt like he was “meant to be a dad.”

Dynamo concluded his heartfelt message by writing, “Michael, in the words of Shania Twain:

I’ll love you ‘forever and for always.’”

A GoFundMe was created to raise funds for the late actor’s funeral and hospital expenses.

Heslin’s last social media post showed him sitting poolside with Dynamo, flaunting their fit physiques.

The Influencers actor’s death sparked a lot of shock and confusion among family, friends and fans.

“This is just incomprehensible. Sending you all the love I have,” one person commented under Dynamo’s post.

Sudden cardiac arrest, which is when the heart “malfunctions and stops beating unexpectedly,” is the leading cause of death among young athletes but still remains somewhat rare, according to the National Institutes of Health.

In July 2023, LeBron James’ then-18-year-old son went into cardiac arrest while at basketball practice for the University of Southern California.

It was then revealed that the “probable” cause of Bronny James’ heart condition was “an anatomically and functionally significant congenital heart defect.”
