Queen Mary of Denmark has been stepping out dressed to the nines in bold, vibrant fashion colours since returning from her quick Sydney trip.
The Australian-born Scandinavian royal was all smiles as she stepped out without King Frederik to attend a celebration at the University of Copenhagen on Friday.
The Aussie-born monarch and her husband King Frederik have mostly met their public obligations separately this past week.
It comes on the anniversary of the King being photographed with Mexican socialite Genoveva Casanova on October 25, 2023, which set off rumours of infidelity.
For her university engagement, Queen Mary, 52, wore a forest green dress which offset the colourful bouquet of flowers she held.
She accessorised the dark green with contrasting coloured with orange drop earrings, a pearl bracelet and snakeskin pumps.
King Frederik was absent from the event as his wife watched the proclamation of 2024 doctorates before hearing a lecture from professor Lene Hansen from the Institute of Political Science.
But King Frederik was by Queen Mary’s side on Tuesday as they attended an awards ceremony with Mary looking very sleek and stylish in a black tuxedo jumpsuit, offset by yellow heels and handbag.
The VEGA concert hall in Copenhagen was the venue for the Crown Prince Couple’s Awards which celebrate outstanding performance and innovative thinking in the arts, culture and social work.
They later took to the stage with Frederik announcing the awards would change its name to the Royal Couple’s Awards, and to present awards to winners and runners-up.
The event marked the first time the pair had been seen together since Mary returned to Denmark from a brief holiday in Australia without Frederik, 56, who enjoyed a Royal hunt in Denmark.
The King’s decision to go hunting alone fuelled the year-old affair rumours.
But Queen Mary seems to be shrugging off the gossip and looked in good spirits as she attended the Hubertus Hunt in Dyrehaven with her daughter Josephine instead of Frederik.
The Hubertus Hunt is an annual cross-country horse race held in Deer Park in Klampenborg, north of Copenhagen and Mary effortlessly pulled off a glamorous and outdoorsy equestrian look.
Mary combined a quilted vest with long woollen coat and accessorised with a grey felt Akubra-style hat.
The following day, Queen Mary was enjoying some laughter during her visit with Danish Hospital Clowns.
This visit was solo and Mary wore a crimson patterned blouse with flowing sleeves, a brightly-coloured outfit that matched her smile and relaxed, beach wave styled hair.
Mary arrived at the event with a huge smile and appeared to be in high spirits as hospital employees put on a clowning show for her at the Severin Konference hotel.
But Mary looked a little more pensive on November 5, when she stepped out again without Frederik to host the Children’s Aid Day award ceremony at Copenhagen City Hall.
She looked stunning in a long taupe skirt topped with a sable brown jacket which she belted to accentuate her waistline. The sober outfit was accessorised with a pair of leopardprint stilettos. The Queen’s makeup was subtle with smoky eye and pale coral lip and just a hint of frosted blush.
The royal was pictured posting for pictures alongside winners of the event, smiling as she clutched a bouquet of pastel coloured flowers.
At each solo event, Mary appeared unfazed following the one-year anniversary of her husband King Frederik’s rumoured affair scandal.
Mary’s marriage to King Frederik has appeared to be under strain following the rumours, according to numerous commentators and fans.
However, Queen Mary appears unconcerned about the fallout from her husband’s ‘private visit’ to Madrid a year ago when the then Crown Prince of Denmark, was seen out walking with Casanova.
Photographers had spotted the pair entering Casanova’s apartment separately and leaving separately but using the same car and attending the same outings together, which included an exhibition, dinner, and flamenco.
But friends have insisted Genoveva Casanova and King Frederik are just good friends who meet up a few times a year.
