Prince Harry to return to Las Vegas, 13 years after nude photo scandal

Prince Harry is set to miss his son’s birthday once again as he returns to Las Vegas, more than a decade after his involvement in a nude scandal.

The Duke of Sussex is set to return to Las Vegas next week, over ten years after being involved in a scandal surrounding nude photos taken during a game of “strip billiards.”

This time, Prince Harry’s visit to Nevada will be focused on the launch of a new youth initiative under the Diana Award.

The event is scheduled for May 6, which coincides with the sixth birthday of his son, Prince Archie, as well as the second anniversary of King Charles’ coronation.

Prince Harry is set to visit Las Vegas to participate in a panel discussion alongside two young recipients of the Legacy Award, an honour given in memory of his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, reports The Times.

The Diana Award, established in 1999, was one of the first organisations created to honour the late princess, who tragically died in a car crash in Paris in 1997 at the age of 36.

In 2017, the Legacy Award was introduced to mark the 20th anniversary of Diana’s passing. It is the charity’s highest accolade, awarded every two years during a special ceremony.

Both Prince Harry and Prince William continue to support the Diana Award, though separately. Last March, Prince William attended the award ceremony in London to present the honours, while Prince Harry offered his congratulations through a video call.

He detailed the incident in his autobiography, Spare, revealing he had berated himself for the scandal, saying: “How had I let it happen? How had I been so stupid?”

It comes as royal insider revealed a furious Prince William is reportedly set to strip Meghan Markle and Prince Harry of their HRH titles once he becomes King.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex agreed not to use their “royal highness” titles as part of their negotiations with Queen Elizabeth II to leave the UK and their roles as working royals, in 2020.

However, multiple sources have told Page Six the entire Sussex family — including Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet — have HRH style, as it’s known, emblazoned on their stationery.

“Meghan hates the royal family and UK, yet flouts [the HRH] for her personal gain. It’s appalling. Everything about her is a contradiction,” one royal insider told Page Six.

And Harry and Meghan — who, we’re told, insist on being called “Ma’am” and “Sir” by staffers — have also used their HRH titles when travelling, a source said. But a Sussex source said the two never insisted on this.
