WITH the crowds that gathered in Windsor exceeding all expectations, JK Rowling couldn’t resist taking a swipe at US President Donald Trump.

DONALD Trump’s 2017 inauguration was attended by an underwhelming number of supporters, with far more people showing up in the days that followed to protest his presidency.
It was a very difference scenario when it came to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding on Saturday, with more than 100,000 people turning up in the small town of Windsor to see the couple exchange vows.
Author JK Rowling couldn’t resist the opportunity to throw shade at Donald Trump, whose US presidency of which she has been an outspoken critic.
“Love > Hate,” she captioned a photo of the tightly packed crowds at the royal wedding, alongside a photo of Trump’s inauguration.

The photo was also shared by BBC Three’s Twitter account, where it was retweeted more than 77,000 times.

It’s believed as many as 120,000 turned up to watch Harry and Meghan wed, with tens of thousands crowding along the Long Walk to watch the couple’s carriage procession following their nuptials.
It’s estimated only 300,000 to 600,000 people turned out to Trump’s 2017 inauguration in Washington DC — a figure that has been hotly contested by the president and his staff.
His then press secretary, Sean Spicer, insisting it was “the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period”.
In contrast, 1.8 million attended Barack Obama’s first inauguration in 2009 and 1 million at were at his second inauguration in 2013.
