Rebel Wilson has revealed she hasn’t spoken to fellow Aussie Isla Fisher after making bombshell claims about Sacha Baron Cohen in her memoir.

Rebel Wilson has revealed she’s no longer friends with fellow Australian actress Isla Fisher after revelations in her bombshell memoir.
Wilson, 44, alleged Fisher’s now ex-husband, UK actor Sacha Baron Cohen, sexually harassed her on the set of their 2016 movie The Brothers Grimsby, claims which she aired for the first time in her recent book Rebel Rising.
A few days later, Fisher and Baron Cohen announced their divorce after 13 years of marriage.
Baron Cohen has vehemently denied Wilson’s allegations.
Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show Wednesday, Wilson – who co-starred with Fisher in the 2012 film Bachelorette – said she hadn’t spoken to Fisher since the book was released in April.
“The timing isn’t great that [Fisher and Baron Cohen] announced it [their divorce] a week after the kind of the revelations in my book came out,” Wilson said.
“I haven’t spoken to [Fisher], obviously. I used to be friends with her before all this happened. We did a movie together called Bachelorette. And so, yeah, I haven’t spoken to her.
“But what’s been interesting is since all the press about the book, lots of women have written to me about instances with this guy through social media. And so, I just don’t feel like I’m thereason.”
On April 6, Fisher and Baron Cohen announced via Instagram they had jointly filed for divorce. The former couple share three children.
“After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down,” their post stated.
“In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always prioritised our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change.
“We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”
Meanwhile, the Pitch Perfect actress also spoke of her frustration over the chapter about Baron Cohen being blanked from copies of her books in Australia and New Zealand, after Wilson lost a legal battle to have it printed in full locally.
Differences in defamation law around the world have determined how much of the chapter can be included locally.
“It’s got nothing to do with the truth of the story. It’s more about how someone who’s rich and got some power could twist the laws, you know, into their favour and cause a lot of problems,” Wilson told Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.
“And so basically, the book got delayed by his [Baron Cohen’s] high priced legal team, and I just wanted it to come out. So the best situation was just to redact that chapter in Australia and New Zealand.”
Wilson’s memoir was delayed for release in Australia as the legal matter played out.
It was slated to finally hit shelves today, May 8.
